Casting

Once we had decided the plot and storyline of our film we had to decide what actors we need to act for each of our characters.  We had to decide carefully what actors we should use for each role so they would play believable roles.

For the young teenage boy we casted a boy aged eleven which was the age the character of the boy “Josh” was. We choose the actor as he was the exact age of the character making him believable to the role.

The teenage girl will be played by one of our group members as even though we are all a similar age of the character aged seventeen we felt she would be able to portray the role the best as she knows how we wanted the role to be played. In addition, she has blonde hair which is considered a convention within horrors that attractive blonde women are the victims.

For the Killer we choose another group member to play the role as we felt it didn’t matter who played the role as their identity would be hidden by the mask and baggy clothing so it doesn’t take anything away from the killer.

The scenes at the start involved an older version of josh aged seventeen. We cast a male the same age of the character to make the character believable and realistic to the role.

There was also a need to cast two teenage girls for the two female teenage characters who are involved with the scenes of the older version of josh in the park. I and another group member will play these roles as we are the age required for each character and we know what specification we wanted out of each character.
